Don’t miss another session of the School of Sociology and Public Policy’s (ESPP) Doctoral Conferences on June 7 with guest speaker Ettore Recchi (Sciences Po).
The conference, entitled “Together or Apart? European Integration from a Sociological Standpoint”, is organized in the context of the PhD programme in Sociology, in collaboration with ESPP, CEI-IUL, and CIES-IUL. The event will take place in Auditorium B2.03 (Building II, ISCTE-IUL) at 6 p.m.
About the speaker:
Ettore Recchi is professor of sociology at Sciences Po Paris, where he is a member of the Observatoire Sociologique du Changement (OSC) and Director of the MA and PhD programs in Sociology. He is also part-time professor at the Migration Policy Center (MPC) of the European University Institute in Florence, where he coordinates the Global Mobilities Project.
His main research foci are mobility (in its different forms), social stratification, and European integration. A methodologically versatile sociologist especially committed to comparative research, Recchi’s last book is Everyday Europe: Social Transnationalism in an Unsettled Continent (Policy Press, 2019), a co-authored volume with all participants in a six-country project that he directed (the EUCROSS project).
