A Comissão Europeia aprovou o projeto do CEI-Iscte “Free Your Mind”

O projecto “Free Your Mind – Youth Activism in Southern Europe in Times of Dictatorship”, liderado pelo CEI-Iscte, foi selecionado para financiamento pelo programa “Europa para os Cidadãos”, na sua vertente de Memória Europeia, promovido pela Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

O projeto irá investigar o papel dos jovens ativistas europeus na luta contra os regimes ditatoriais do Sul da Europa durante os anos 1960 e 1970. Conta também com uma forte componente de divulgação e comunicação e envolverá, por essa razão, estudantes, professores, investigadores, ativistas, agentes culturais e o público em geral, em conferências, debates, exposições e visitas que terão lugar em Portugal, Espanha e Grécia.

Com a coordenação do Prof. Luís Nuno Rodrigues, diretor do CEI-Iscte, o projeto conta com a parceria da Associação Cultural Ephemera (Portugal), da Universidade de Creta, da Sociedade de Estudos Históricos Cretense (Grécia) e da Universidade Complutense de Madrid (Espanha).

 

The project “Free Your Mind – Youth Activism in Southern Europe in Times of Dictatorship”, leb by CEI-Iscte, was selected for financing by the programme “Europe for Citizens”, in its European Memory dimension, promoted by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).

The project will investigate the role of young European activists in the fight against dictatorial regimes in Southern Europe during the 1960s and 1970s. It also has a strong component of dissemination and communication and will therefore involve students, teachers, researchers, activists, cultural agents and the general public, in terms of criteria, debates, places and visits that will take place in Portugal, Spain and Greece.

Coordinated by Prof. Luís Nuno Rodrigues, director of CEI-Iscte, the project includes Associação Cultural Ephemera (Portugal), the University of Crete (Grece) and the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) as partners.
