Visit of students to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China

The students and professors of Contemporary China and Economy of China, an optional course of the Master’s in International Studies (ISCTE-IUL), visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.

The visit included an official audience with the People’s Republic of China Ambassador, Mr. Cai Run. During the visit, the students learned about the building of the Embassy and the activities that take place therein. They also received information on the evolution of the diplomatic – as well as economic – relations between Portugal and the People’s Republic of China. Students were also encouraged to present their perspectives on China and to explain their interest in this area of studies.

This initiative is included in CEI-IUL’s strategic programme, as it seeks to strengthen the link  between research and teaching, as well as to promote internationalisation.
