8 – 12 JUL | Summer course: China & East Asia: identifying challenges & scoping the future

Applications for the CEI-IUL summer course “China and East Asia: identifying challenges & scoping the future” are open until June 28, 2019.

The region of China and East Asia is at the center of the world today. Relying on a vast and rich history and culture, this region remains at the forefront of trade and technological development. The study of China and East Asia is no longer exclusively focused on linguistic and literary aspects and is constantly expanding, following the inevitable importance and dynamism of the region in several areas, from politics, economics and finance, including the fight against climate change.

The course will be held between 8 to 12 July, 2019, and will be coordinated by CEI-IUL researcher Cátia Miriam Costa and Álvaro Rosa (IBS). It will have a duration of 20 hours, running from Monday to Friday between 6pm and 10:30pm. The course is organised by the Center for International Studies and is aimed at university students, diplomats, the military, businesspersons, and professionals interested in contemporary political, social and economic situation in China and East Asia.
